Guildford’s Sunflower Café, a weekly café for people affected by dementia, has re-started.
The café takes place from 10.30am to noon every Wednesday at Guildford United Reformed Church, Portsmouth Road.
The managing director of Right at Home, the home care company that runs the cafe, Alastair Shanks, said. “We are delighted to be able to welcome people back to our café following a pause due to the Covid restrictions.
“Face-to-face experiences in friendly, supportive places like our café are so important to people living with dementia and their carers and we know how much they have been missed.
“Our café is open to anyone affected by dementia and for now, we ask that you contact us to book a place.
“The café is a place to enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake, to socialise and a place to find support and information if you or your loved one is affected by dementia.
“Our specialist dementia care staff are on hand to provide information and guidance about the support available.”
To book a place, email Right at Home at hello@rightathomegf.co.uk or phone 01252 783426.
