Surrey police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged serious assault in Bridge Street, Guildford town centre.
It is reported that homophobic language was used prior to the assault, and the police are treating the incident as a “hate-related”.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, June 22, a man is alleged to have approached two men outside Wetherspoons on Bridge Street and kicked and punched them, leaving one of the men, a man in his 20s, requiring hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as a white man aged around 25 and about six feet in height, with a stocky build and potentially wearing a suit.
A police spokesperson said: “Were you in the area around Bridge Street shortly after midnight on Sunday, 22 June? Do you have any CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident?
