Detectives in Guildford are appealing for information following a suspicious incident in the Artington area of Guildford in which a man tried to grab the arm of a woman jogger as she ran along a road.
The 33-year-old runner was making her way along Old Portsmouth Road at 1.05pm on Sunday, June 10, when she saw a man on the footpath near to the entrance of an industrial estate. The suspect is described as a tall, slim, white man with short blond hair. He was aged in his mid twenties and wore a grey top with pale blue jeans.
Detective Constable James Hilton said: “This was an extremely unsettling incident which caused the victim to feel extremely anxious and distressed. I would ask anyone who may have been passing in the vicinity, whether in a car or on foot, to contact officers with any details which could help locate this individual.
“Surrey Police works with its partner agencies to maintain our communities as safe environments for residents to live and work and this is an unusual occurrence in the neighbourhood.”
