Healthcare specialist law firm DR Solicitors has been named Legal Service Provider of the Year at the national General Practice Awards 2018.

The awards celebrate the best examples of innovation, dedication, and leadership in primary care throughout the UK.

The title award recognises law firms for their extraordinary level of service and industry specialism, and this year was judged partly by public vote, in addition to a panel of highly regarded medical professionals.

DR Solicitors’ senior partner Daphne Robertson said: “Winning the title is a real tribute, not only to our expert team of healthcare lawyers but also to our loyal following of primary-care clients who are a never-ending source of inspiration to us. Without them this would not have been possible.”

Ms Robertson was also recently presented with The Surrey Law Society’s Lawyer of the Year award in October 2018 so this has been an exceptional year for the firm.

Established by Ms Robertson and Nils Christiansen in 2003, the specialist DR Solicitors works exclusively with healthcare clients including NHS GP Practices, dentists, consultants and other medical professionals within the primary healthcare sector. The firm is based in Guildford and prides itself on professionalism, industry expertise and “speaking the language” of their clients.

Mr Christiansen added: “Our unique differentiator is that we look at problems from a client’s perspective rather than in terms of a particular legal discipline. Our team is fantastic at delivering practical solutions to complex problems, and I’m proud of the way they are always prepared to work so very hard for our clients.”
