Chris Rapley

The Climate Emergency is becoming the major challenge of our age. Despite some remaining sceptics, the scientific evidence is overwhelming, backing up our personal observations.

Here in Guildford, we have a resident who is leading scientist on the subject, Christopher Rapley CBE. He was executive director of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme from 1994 to 1998 and director of the British Antarctic Survey from 1998 to 2007. He was appointed Director of the Science Museum in 2007, stepping down in 2010.

He is now Professor of Climate Science at University College London.

We think this interview with Cly Wallace, filmed by Mark Insoll is worth watching. See what you think…
