Asda has made an improved compensation offer to the Bramley community and individual residents for the problems they have experienced because of underground petrol contamination that has emanated from the village’s petrol station.
Villagers have experienced considerable disruption to their lives: for periods water was declared unsafe to drink or to wash dishes in and traffic has been severely disrupted by road closures and road works during the clean up operation which is still continuing.
