Carl Taylor, manager GCFC

In response to: City Manager is Aiming for Promotion

May I take a moment to wish the team manager of Guildford City, Carl Taylor a full and speedy recovery from his knee operation last month. And thank you to The Guildford Dragon NEWS for a relaxed and candid conversation with Mr Taylor and hear about his ideas for the club this season.

I am sorry to hear about the departure of the leading goal scorer last season Manny Acheampong having left the club and Benji Gambrah, as well as some other players. However, I am excited to see how the new starting line-up perform when City take on Epsom & Ewell with their first match on Friday evening in the Combined Counties League.

If a mid-table finish last year is anything to go by, Carl Taylor is right to say that the play-offs are well within City’s grasp and hopefully they can go on and win the competition.

I know that the Sweeney fans would be staunchly supporting the manager and players at every step of the way.
