Guildford Heroin Dealer Sentenced to 8 Years

A heroin dealer from Guildford has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being caught in the act, preparing drugs to sell.

Stephen Tardif, 60, of Shepherds Lane in Guildford, was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on Friday, July 1, after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of criminal property.

After receiving reports of Tardif potentially being involved in drug supply, officers obtained a warrant and raided his house in the February of this year. During the raid, they not only found him in the process of “wrapping” brown powder, which was later confirmed to be heroin, but they also found over £1,500 in cash.

PC Oliver who was investigating the case, said: “Drugs and drug dealers ruin communities and have no place in Surrey. We were lucky enough to catch Stephen Tardif in the act and this sentence reflects the seriousness of his crime.

“I would encourage anyone that is concerned about potential drug dealing in their area to report it to us. Each report helps us to gather intelligence and keep everyone safe.”
