Guildford Parkrun Results: June 1, 2013

First over the line in Saturday’s parkrun, held at Stoke Park, was Alex McIntosh of Garden City Runners, in 17 minutes and 40 seconds. He was followed by Jason Harris on Woking AC in 18 minutes and six seconds. Katherine Philip was the first woman over the line once again, this time in 19 minutes 22 seconds.

Men’s placings:
Alex MCINTOSH (SM30-34) of Garden City Runners, was first over the line in 17:40 – first time in two appearances.
Jason HARRIS (VM40-44) of Woking AC, was second over the line in 18:06.
Nathan MARTIN (SM25-29) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was third over the line in 18:13 – Has been first to finish on two previous occassions.

Current standing in the men’s annual points competition:
Daniel Peter HEFFERNAN (Unattached) 1,081 pts.
Andrew FLANAGAN (Unattached) 919 pts.
Justin SHOWELL (Haslemere Border AC) 796 pts.

Women’s placings:
Katherine PHILP (SW30-34) of Garden City Runners, was first (8th overall) over the line in 19:22 – third time in three appearances.
Sophie LOVELL (SW25-29) of Leeds City AC, was second (16th overall) over the line in 20:26 – Has been first to finish on five previous occassions.
Cecilia SIRUFFO (SW30-34) of Guildford & Godalming AC, was third (27th overall) over the line in 21:37.

Current standing in the women’s annual points competition:
Susanne BARNES (Woking AC) 1,015 pts.
Julia BONILLA (Unattached) 959 pts.
Debbie AITKEN (Unattached) 858 pts.

The following runners recorded the best age grade scores:
Katherine PHILP (SW30-34) was graded 76.94 % for the time 19:22 (8th overall).
Eddy Vincent KNOX (VM50-54) was graded 76.49 % for the time 19:17 (7th overall).
Jason HARRIS (VM40-44) was graded 75.97 % for the time 18:06 (second overall).

This week there were 162 runners, of whom 27 were first timers and 49 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 23 different athletics clubs took part.

Guildford parkrun started on March 10, 2012, and since then 1,805 different runners, including participants from 146 athletics clubs, have completed 6,321 runs covering a total distance of 31,605 km, and there have been 1,369 new personal bests.

The women’s course record is held by Katherine PHILP who ran in a time of 18:46 on May 18, 2013 (event number 60).
The men’s course record is held by Tom ALDRED who ran in a time of 15:30 on April 7, 2012 (event number 5).
The age grade course record is held by Jane DAVIES who recorded a 90.41 % run (22:25) on April 27, 2013 (event number 57).
