A man has been charged following attempted burglary in Sutton Green near Guildford.

House owners, away from their property, were alerted to a suspicious man standing outside their property after their CCTV on the property sent a notification to their mobiles.

The alert from a property on Frog Lane was sent at 5.35pm on Saturday (September 1, 2018) and the house owners called a neighbour who checked the property, but by this time the man had gone. However, when the owners returned home, later that day, they found that a window had been smashed.

Joe Mobey, 47, Guildford has now been charged with attempted residential burglary and will appear in Guildford crown court on Thursday, 4 October.
