Letter: The ‘Guildford Forum’ Is for Anyone Who Wishes To Make Our Borough a Better Place

Chair of the Guildford Conservative Association

In response to: ‘Guildford Forum’ Launched by Guildford’s MP – Former Local Radio Presenter to Chair

We’re excited about this new initiative to empower Guildford residents, businesses, and other local stakeholders and groups to shape the future of our town, and pleased to see our MP Angela Richardson delivering on her 2019 promise in spite of these challenging times.

The Guildford Forum should aid the post-pandemic recovery of our town and villages, and local businesses. We expect it will also play an important role in conserving and celebrating our town’s heritage and arts.

It is the consultative, consensual approach promised by the Guildford Forum which gives it such potential. Everyone who wants to make Guildford a better place to live, work, and raise a family, from any sector and of any political stripe, will find it a welcoming home for their contributions.

As our MP said, Guildford’s future is bright and it is in our hands.

I look forward to my personalised invitation. Think of all the wonderful people who’ll be there: Savills, G L Hearn, Persimmon, Fortitude Dynamics…
