I response to: What is Meant by a Guildford/Waverley Council ‘Alliance’?
Political point-scoring again. Come back to working together as a community, a borough even.
I went to the Guildford in Bloom prize-giving at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre this year even though I had not participated in the event. There were so many volunteers involved, not just council employees or councillors.
I’m sure our wonderful businesses would offer their financial support to continue Guildford in Bloom. Its Heritage Open Days weekend was a shambles this year without the funding. Hopefully, if there are no council funds to support “heritage and arts” they will get support elsewhere.
I think that Guildford Borough Council has more issues to address for its residents than this continuing political sniping. I say to all councillors, take the politics out of it and work for your residents well being for once.
After all, residents can’t even ring GBC to get problems addressed as the telephone system is so poor.
