Man Attacked in Street by Robbers Wearing Balaclavas

The police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault and robbery in Guildford on Sunday (January 26).

Officers were called to Ashenden Road, near the Tesco store in Guildford, following a report from South East Coast Ambulance around 11.30pm that a man had been attacked.

The suspects approached the victim and demanded that he hand over various items, including a pair of wireless ear buds, which they made off with.

The victim received minor injuries and was discharged from hospital that evening.

An investigation is under way to identify and locate the suspects.

The first suspect is described as male, 6ft tall, of normal build, wearing a black puffer jacket, dark clothing, gloves and a black balaclava.

The second suspect is described as male, 6ft tall, of a larger build, wearing a black puffer jacket, dark clothing, gloves and a black balaclava.

Police say: “Were you in the area at the time? If you have any CCTV footage or information that might assist our enquiries, please DM us quoting PR/4525001018.”
