Letter: We Are Relieved that GBC Is Taking Action Over Flooding

In response to: Borough Council Takes Action At Last for Ash Vale Residents Hit By Flooding

As a Wellington Place resident since our houses were built, it is a relief that the current GBC management have progressed with dealing with this problem, which only surfaced after the building of the Sopwith development.

We are equally pleased that we have received confirmation of the series of deadlines for positive action, particularly in May this year, from the relevant organisations.

We await the result.

It appears from various reports that the new team of council officers at the top are actually starting to make a difference …only to be disbanded in three years time!

We have a number of critical meeting coming up to sort out the scope of the work and deliverable so hope GBC will maintain their encouraging proactive stance. I thank Pedro Wrobel, CEO and the councillors for theirr continued involvement. Let’s go solve these issues together.
