Motor Cyclist Dies In Normandy Collision

police accident sign 2Surrey Police have confirmed that a man who suffered serious injuries during a collision in Normandy this afternoon has sadly died.

The incident took place shortly before 12.30pm today (Thursday, March 31) when a motorcycle collided with a silver Vauxhall Corsa on the A323 Guildford Road.

The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries during the collision and was taken by air ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, but died several hours later.

The man, who was in his early twenties and from the Farnborough area, has yet to be formally identified but his next of kin have been informed.

There were no reports of any other injuries as a result of the collision.

Following the collision officers closed Guildford Road between the junctions with Westwood Lane and Glaziers Lane. The road was fully reopened shortly before 6pm.
