Whose bright idea was it to set things up so that this election takes place during a year when it seems there are no there elections in Surrey or Guildford? Surely the costs are excessive compared with having combined elections.
I apologise if there are other elections in the area on May 2.
Editor’s response: There are other local elections on May 2 in some parts of Surrey.
