The Bellfields Remembered local history and community project is hosting another afternoon for people to see a presentation of vintage photos and also share their memories if they wish.
It is taking place on Sunday, April 15, at St Peter’s Shared Church Hall, Hazel Avenue, Bellfields, Guildford GU1 1NP, from 3pm to 5pm.
St Peter’s is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the building of its church this year and local historians Carol Brown and David Rose will be showing images from the church’s own archives, along with general views of the Bellfields area down the decades.
The project is aiming to build a new database of people’s stories and memories of living on Bellfields estate and at Slyfield, and also memories and stories they have of attending services such as christenings and weddings, as well as social events, at St Peter’s Church.
Thoughts and views on the area today are also welcome.
And take along old photos if you have them.
Entry is free and light refreshments will be available.
More details from Carol Brown on 01483 574455.
