Strictly Come Dancing Success for Guildford’s Flavia

Guildford-based professional dancer Flavia Cacace has won this year’s BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing with her celebrity dance partner Louis Smith.

In tonight’s final (Saturday, December 22), bookies’ favourite Louis and his partner Flavia made it through to the final three. When the winners were announced, Flavia looked surprised and elated.

Gymnast Louis, who won a silver medal at this year’s London 2012 Olympic Games, said: “I can finally say I’ve won something in 2012.”

Flavia added: “I don’t think we can believe it, I can’t believe we got here.” She told Louis: “Thanks for sharing your amazing skill and talent with me.”

In the 2007 series of Strictly Come Dancing, Flavia, partnered by EastEnders actor Matt Di Angelo, came second.
