The Shop Front: A Symphony of Small Bites and Cocktails at Piattini

The newest independent business to set up shop in Guildford is the stylish, Italian inspired bar and restaurant known as Piattini Kitchen & Cocktails. 

With a hospitality motto of “Do it with passion or don’t do it at all!”, and a gorgeous and stylised interior, the staff and visuals of the restaurant alone should be enough to attract you to visit this restaurant.

However, Piattini Kitchen & Cocktails offers a unique dining experience that will be hard to find anywhere else, and it is in the name – Piattini. This translates in English to “small plates” and is the main idea of the business – Italian inspired small plates or piattinis paired with cocktails.

Based just off the High Street, at 3 The Shambles, it’s just out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the High Street.

Open until 11pm on Wednesday and Thursdays, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, it is the perfect place to spend an evening or afternoon, as they open at midday Wednesday to Sunday.

Specifically on Sundays, open 10am until 6pm, it offer bottomless pizza and Prosecco. Ninety minutes of unlimited pizza and prosecco cocktails is an amazing offer which many will struggle to refuse.

Kristyna, a lovely staff member, suggested customers try her personal favorite Piattini, the Panzerotti, an exquisite, deep-fried pizza served with green pesto and marinara sauce.

Piattini Kichen & Cocktails is the perfect place to spend an evening or afternoon.

The Piattini Martini Cocktail, a beautiful take on the classic Martini, with a unique and creative touch of Pistachios.

Another popular cocktail is the Limoncello Mule, which despite Limoncello being an uncommon cocktail liquor works perfectly to create a delicious lemon and ginger combination.

Some meals and piattinis that are popular among customers are the garlic and chilli prawn piattini, served with toasted sourdough, a classic and this restaurant only reinforces why it is.

A meal popular among customers is the Pepperoni and Hot Honey Pizza, a gorgeous combination of sweet and savory mastered by the talented chefs in the kitchen.

Finally, for the pistachio lovers, who will already be pleased with the cocktail selections, a Basil, Lemon and Pistachio Rigatoni Pasta.
