Six men, including three from Ash, have appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court charged with violent disorder following a protest outside an Aldershot hotel that has been housing asylum seekers.
They were granted bail and are due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 4.

Howell was also charged with assault on an emergency worker and pleaded not guilty to this offence.
All the charges arose following the protest outside Potters International Hotel on Wednesday, July 31.
A seventh man, Perrie Fisher, 28, of Hillside Road, Farnham, was charged with violent disorder but failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
At the same court, a 13-year-old girl from Aldershot pleaded guilty to violent disorder. The girl, who cannot be named because of her age, was granted bail and is due to be sentenced on Monday, September 30.
Hampshire Police have commented on posts that have appeared on social media related to the case.
A police statement said: “We note the incident on Wednesday 31 July has attracted commentary on social media. We understand the community’s concern, however urge people to please not speculate on the circumstances through online commentary.”
