Julia McShane the new leader of the Lib Dem Group at Millmead.

In response to: Julia McShane New Lib Dem Group Leader on Borough Council

May I wish Julia McShane all the very best on her appointment as leader of the Liberal Democrat group at Guildford Borough Council.

Having lived in Westborough for 35 years, we were lucky to have Julia as a Ward Councillor for our last six years. She always responded immediately to any problems we might have and involved herself properly in what was going on in Westborough and which needed the attention of GBC.

The fact that she has lived in the ward she represents all her life is quite unusual for a councillor and maybe this is why she is so good. It really is her community.

I am sure she will transfer her qualities to the whole of the borough in her new role.
