Letter: Thank You to All Who Helped Make ‘Firework Fiesta’ a Success

We would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who helped make the Firework Fiesta last weekend such a resounding success.

It was brilliant to see 10,000 ticket holders come together to enjoy a spectacular evening of live music, from 21st Century Riot and Chasing Mumford, culminating in the spectacular firework display all superbly presented by our MC for the evening Peter Gordon.

Seeing the community come together to enjoy themselves while at the same time raising funds to support our local community made the months of planning and preparation all worthwhile.

We are still calculating the final result but anticipate that the profits will allow us to support a large number of local people in the difficult times ahead.

We will announce the final result in the next few days.

Finally, special thanks must go to the volunteers who turned out in good numbers and our sponsors – without their support and the support of our sponsors this event could not happen.
