A long queue formed outside the new Lidl from before it was opened by the Mayor of Guildford at 8am.

The new Lidl opened today (Thursday, June 24) in Woodbridge Road with queues forming outside as the ribbon was cut by Guildford’s Mayor, Marsha Moseley.
Dragon photographer, Mandy Millyard, was there to record the event.
Marsha Moseley, Mayor of Guildford, cut the ribbon for the opening of the new Lidl store in Woodbridge Road.
And we’re off. Shoppers stream into the newly opened shop.
Sue (on the left) and her daughter, NHS worker, Leanne, were at the front of the queue. They said they had been looking forward to the new shop.
The Lidl staff posed for a group photo in the entrance area just before the store was officially opened.
Samuel said he was proud to be “the very first person through the tills” at the new Lidl.
There is an electric vehicle charging facility at the new Lidl in Woodbridge Road.
One shopper said it was “so nice” to be at the opening of a “lovely clean and fresh new store”.
Lady with a smiley face mask was “just happy to be here”.

Strange.
I was expecting pictures of the bad congestion on Woodbridge Road due to the Lidl store as promised.
