Letter: New Chair for Guildford in Bloom

I am very pleased to announce that, following a trustees’ meeting, Cllr Sallie Barker has agreed to take over from me as the new chairman of Guildford in Bloom.

I have agreed to stay as a trustee until at least the GiB Awards Night to allow Sallie to get her feet under the table.

On a personal level, I want to thank all of you all those who helped and supported Guildford in Bloom has done and continues to do.

We have now settled on 10th September for GiB Awards Night. Please make sure that date is in your diary.

It has been a very enjoyable 12 years on the GiB Committee, with around 10 years as chairman, but it really is time for a refreshed committee to take Guildford in Bloom forward.
