CCTV images of missing Victor Ivanelo which show him on a South West train on Saturday afternoon (February 25) have been released by Surrey Police.

The 21-year-old student was travelling from Clapham Junction to Claygate station  around 3.37pm. He is seen wearing a three quarter length Parka style jacket, jeans, walking style boots and headphones. He was carrying a black over the shoulder bag and was wearing glasses.

Officers are urging anyone who recognises Victor from the images and may have seen him in the vicinity of Claygate or any other locality to share the details with police.

Chief Inspector of Operations Amy Buffoni said: “We are hoping these images will jog memories and help the public remember if, when and where they may have spotted Victor. We need to establish what route he took when he left his friend’s home in Esher during the early hours of Sunday morning and I welcome information from the community.”

Police are also appealing to anyone who may have CCTV either at home or in commercial premises in the Esher, Claygate and Chessington areas to check footage to see if there are any sightings of Victor.

The University of Surrey student visited his friend on Saturday (February 25) and left at around 2am on Sunday morning. At this time he is described as wearing a grey formal jacket, blue jeans and smart shoes and was carrying a black over the shoulder Hugo Boss bag but was not wearing his glasses.

His bag and contents were found alongside a bridleway in Chessington by a horse rider on Sunday morning at around 11.40am.

Chief Insp Buffoni said: “There have been no confirmed sightings of Victor for five days and no communication from him with loved ones or friends.

“We need everyone to be alert to what Victor looks like and to look out for him as they go about their daily business. Officers are continuing to carry out extensive investigations to locate him and I would encourage local residents to speak with officers carrying out house to house enquiries.”

If you have any information or CCTV which might help find Victor please call 101 and quote Operation Decibel reference 45170020251.
