Spate of Burglaries of Computer and Phone Equipment

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following three burglaries in streets close to one another in the Onslow area of Guildford in which computer and phone equipment was stolen.

Thieves stole £1,770 worth of computer equipment after breaking into a house in Scillonian Road, Guildford, sometime between 7.50am on Friday, August 24, and 5pm on Monday, August 27. They gained access through a side door.

On Saturday, August 25, in nearby Iveagh Road, a burglary took place sometime between 11.30am and 8.45pm. Thieves stole more than £1,000 worth of computer equipment after gaining access through a window.

The second burglary took place in Iveagh Road.

Another burglary took place at a house in Farnham Road, near Scillonian Road, last Tuesday, August 28. Thieves forced their way into the property through the patio door sometime between 9am and 2.15pm. They made an untidy search before making off with cash and a mobile phone.

Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting crime reference GD/12/7919.

A local resident said he believes the burglaries must be related.
