A 16-year-old juvenile from Brent was charged by Surrey Police with attempted GBH (grievous bodily harm) on January 12 (2019) in relation to an attack at a shop in Ash last December.

The boy, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, was remanded in custody and will appear at Staines Magistrate Court tomorrow (January 14).

In a statement, a spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “On Sunday, 23 December 2018 we were called to the One Stop [shop] on Ash Street at 3.10pm after a report that a man was attacked multiple times with a weapon by two males. The males then left the scene in a car, the car was pursued by police and the driver and two passengers were detained.

“The victim, a man in his 20’s, received serious injuries and was treated in hospital.”

An 18-year-old man from Kent and an 18-year-old woman from Hampshire were also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder respectively on the day on the incident and were released under police investigation.

The police investigation continues.
