A cheque for £960 has been received by the club and it was presented by its chairman, Andrew Hazzard, to its honorary life president, Edna Furse.

Andrew said: “This is a fantastic effort by all concerned at Harris & Hoole. Our sincere thanks go to them all. We will be having a special and memorable day out thanks to them.”

The Guildford Club for the Disabled was founded over 60 years ago and currently has about 36 members. They meet on Thursday afternoons at Jacobs Well Village Hall.
