Can You Help Police Investigating Attempted Robbery In Ripley?

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Ripley.

Police carIt took place at around 8pm on Monday, February 22, as the victim, a woman in her 20s, walked along an alleyway between Rose Lane and White Hart Meadows.

She was approached by a man who attempted to snatch her carrier bag which contained her purse.

The woman received minor hand injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s, around 5ft 7ins and of slim build. He was wearing jeans and a hooded top with the hood up.

Officers have visited the location of this offence and carried out house-to-house enquiries. Items have also been sent for forensic analysis and detectives await the results of these.
