Bowlers Donate Clubhouse For YMCA Fundraising Sleep Out

The Castle Green Bowling Club is donating the use of its clubhouse for this year’s Guildford YMCA Sleep Out on Friday, March 18.

Jill Bird of the Castle Green Bowling Club will be taking part in the YMCA Sleep Out.

The yearly event raises vital funds for its work with disadvantaged young people and the location chosen this year is the Castle Grounds.

The clubhouse will be used to make hot drinks and snacks for those braving the cold night air.

The club says: “We have great pleasure in donating our clubhouse and facilities to all those brave people that will be sleeping out for the YMCA.

“One of our members, Jill Bird, will be sleeping out with them and she has the support of all our members. Anyone who knows Jill and would like to sponsor her, please ring Shirley West on 01483 563071.”
