The hunt is on for a man who made approaches to two women near the White Hart pub in Farncombe on Saturday evening (March 30).
One woman was walking along Bourne Road about 6.45pm when the man asked her for directions and offered her a large sum of money. Later, about 8pm, she was walking towards the White Hart when she saw him driving away from the pub. They exchanged words and he drove away.

He then approached the second woman and tried to entice her into his car, trying to grab her hand as she ran away. The women were not known to each other.
The man is white, about 35, average build, stubbled, with blonde or brown short hair, longer on top. He spoke with an Eastern European accent and was wearing a grey hooded top. He was driving a blue BMW convertible with a black soft top, described as an old car with a square-shaped body.
Detective Constable Mike Taylor said: “This man has been brazen enough to approach two women independently of each other and try to entice them into his car. Obviously, this is an extremely concerning incident and we are keen to identify this man as a matter of urgency. If you saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, we would like to hear from you.”
