A young man suffered multiple fractures in what police are describing as “a seemingly unprovoked attack” at The Casino nightclub in Guildford town centre in the early hours of Sunday (October 14).
The incident happened around 2.30am. The attack was carried out by a group of men who inflicted multiple fractures to the victim’s face. Investigating police officers are keen to speak to two women who had drinks thrown over them as a result of the incident.
Temporary Police Sergeant Stephen Bullard said: “We do not tolerate violent behaviour and will do all we can to identify those responsible. This was a seemingly unprovoked attack on a young man who was just trying to enjoy a night out.
“The club was fairly busy at the time and I believe a number of people would have witnessed this.
“In particular, we would like to speak to the two women who had drinks thrown over them during the assault.”
Three men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, two 27-year-old men from New Malden and a 23-year-old man from Esher.
All three were released under investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “If you can help, please contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 45180109769 or online by using https://report.police.uk
“Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
