Assault Outside Guildford Pub Leaves Man With Serious Head Injuries

The police were called to Stoke Road at around 9.45pm on Saturday, after receiving reports of two men being assaulted outside The Stoke public house.

One man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

A 41-year-old man from Guildford was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and assault causing grievous bodily harm. He has since been bailed.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, was sat outside The Stoke Pub, or may have any dashcam footage to contact us quoting PR/45220102889 via:

“If you do not wish to leave your name, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
