Attempted Robbery in Ash Vale – Man Arrested

A man has been arrested following an attempted robbery in Ash Vale last night (May 23, 2019).

The man, aged 25, has been arrested on suspicion of attempt robbery. He is currently in police custody.

The attempted robbery happened just after 11pm last night on Lysons Avenue, near Tesco Express. A woman in her 20s was approached, pushed to the ground and her bag pulled from her shoulders.

However passers-by intervened and nothing was stolen from the victim. She sustained minor injuries which did not require medical treatment.
