The lights have been provided by John Gunner, who with his son Stephen, and Dan Meeks, spent five days installing the lights in the five horse chestnut trees fronting the green.

As Mr Gunner had donated the lights to Worplesdon Parish Council, it agreed to make a donation, together with a donation received from Worplesdon View Care Home, to Mr Gunner’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.
