A Covid affected Christmas Dinner solution, reached by neighbouring Guildford residents, made Radio 4’s Today programme this morning (December 22). They had answered the leading radio news programme’s plea for positive Tier 4 stories.

Gill and Bill Page who live off the Epsom Road had, like many others across the UK, ordered a large turkey for their family Christmas. Then, on Saturday, the news of Tier 4 restrictions scuppered their plans.

Bill normally cooks the turkey but is delighted, this year, to only have to deal with the vegetables.
