Emergency services appear to be clearing up after a house fire incident in Aldershot Road, just up from Woodbridge Hill in Guildford this afternoon.
Four Surrey Fire & Rescue Service fire engines, two ambulances, and four police cars are in attendance and the road has been closed off.
Firefighters confirmed that there had been a house fire and people, who its appears were students, were standing outside.
Firefighters are now mopping up.
A SFRS spokesperson: “We received a call this afternoon around 14.35pm to a report of a fire on Aldershot Road, Guildford.
“Four fire engines were sent, arriving at the scene around 14.40pm. A fire had broken out on the ground floor of a domestic property, causing approximately 8m x 8m damage.
“Crews have now extinguished the fire but remain at the scene.”
More information from Surrey Police has been requested.
