50-year-old Pedestrian Killed at Compton – Witnesses Sought

police accident sign 2Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry on the A3 southbound at Compton yesterday afternoon (November 30).

The collision happened at around 1.40pm near the A31 Compton slip road.

The pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene.

The A3 was currently closed southbound at the A31 junction while police carried out an investigation of the scene. The northbound carriageway re-opened at 2.40pm.

Traffic disruption was extensive in the area into the early evening.
