Car Vandalism Reported From Farnham to Old Woking, As Well As Guildford

Reports of more cars damaged during the vandalism spree that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning (June 11, 2017) continue to be received, some from outside of Guildford. A police statement is expected.

An Ash Vale resident wrote: “My car was parked on Vickers Road, Ash Vale. Wasn’t sure what happened to it, but seems likely to be vandalism.”

Another Dragon reader said: “Five cars on Coronation Road, Aldershot and one car in Jubilee road Aldershot. The police are linking it all to the same people. They’ve done it in Guildford, Ash, Aldershot and Farnham all in the same night. It is said to have been a group of lads in a car. CCTV is a wonderful thing it won’t be long before they catch them I’m sure.”

And T Foster commented: “My sister’s car was also smashed in Old Woking along with at least one other car.”

More evidence of the damage suffered in Burpham, at Sutherland Park has also been sent in. The photos show that the damage was not limited to cars. The glass in a bus shelter was also smashed.

One of the cars damaged on or near Henderson Avenue [Stoughton] yesterday morning. A stone thought to have caused the damage still present on the floor.

And a Stoughton resident, who did not wish to be named, wrote: “Several cars in Queen Elizabeth Park off Grange Road were damaged, including rear windows, broken with what looks like a large round rock or stone.

“A crowd of young men, about 18 years-of-age, were drinking and vandalising cars as a group around midnight in the area. They were chased off several times. I am not sure if the police managed to find them.

“The police were aware and called out several times in our area on Saturday night / Sunday morning.  I am not sure if the police managed to find them.”

Ellie from Burpham commented: “This happened to me on the same night on Cotta Wood Drive in Burpham. My rear window was smashed out and large rocks were found in the street nearby. Absolutely disgusting, I hope they get caught.”

And Emma from Aldershot added: “Five cars on Coronation Road, Aldershot and one car in Jubilee Road also hit.  Police are linking it all to the same people.

“They’ve done it in Guildford, Ash, Aldershot and Farnham, all on the same night,  a  group of lads in a car. CCTV is a wonderful thing. It won’t be long before they catch them I’m sure.”
