Voluntary Action South West Surrey is hosting a ‘Volunteer Centre Takeover’ at its offices in Guildford from Monday to Friday, June 3 to 7.

To mark Volunteers Week, a number of of local organisations will be dropping into the centre at 39 Castle Street GU1 3UQ for a cup of tea, slice of cake and a chat to anyone who might be interested in volunteering.

It’s also a chance for the organisations to meet with Voluntary Action and update its staff and its own volunteers about opportunities or events they have coming up.

During the week, Voluntary Action will be saying thank you to the thousands of people volunteering across Guildford and Waverley and making people aware of the many opportunities available.

It will also be publishing posts on social media about the benefits volunteering can have for individuals and local communities.
