Spelthorne Sports are the visitors to the Spectrum on Wednesday evening (August 13, kick-off 7.45pm) for the much awaited first home league match of the season.
Following on from an impressive performance at Farnham on Saturday, manager Kevin Rayner will be looking to build some momentum against a Spelthorne side who are enjoying their first spell in the Premier division after winning the Division One championship last season.
Spelthorne’s manager Paul Johnson has overseen an impressive team building exercise and the visitors are unbeaten in 33 league matches dating back to April 2013. “Spelly’s” have made a good start to their Premier campaign having won at Windsor 1-0 on the opening day. Home wins against Bedfont (2-1) and Badshot Lea (3-0) have followed.
The Spectrum pitch is in pristine condition and City are hoping for a good turnout of supporters to watch them attempt to put a dent in Spelthorne’s unbeaten run.
