A motorcyclist has been left with “potentially life-threatening injuries” following a collision near the Royal Oak pub on the A324 Pirbright to Normandy road.
The incident occurred early this morning (August 6, 2018). Police were called to the scene at 6.30am. The motorbike was in collision with an Isuzu pick-up.
A police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses after a motorbike rider sustained potentially life-threatening injuries in a collision earlier this morning.
“At 6.30am, we were called to a report of a collision between a motorbike and a pick-up on the A324 Aldershot Road in Pirbright, close to the Royal Oak pub.
“We’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, involving a white Ducati motorbike and a grey Isuzu D-Max, or the movements of either vehicle before the incident. Anyone with dash camera footage is also encouraged to contact us.”
The motorbike rider, a man in his 30s, has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. No one else involved received any injuries.
The road was closed between Ash Road and Cobbett Hill Road while officers carried out on-scene investigations.
Surrey police have asked for anyone with any information or dash camera footage to call 101, quoting reference PR/P18188300.
