Cyclist Aged 62 Found Dead in Ripley

A 62-year-old cyclist has been found dead by the side of Newark Lane in Ripley and police have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact them.

Officers had been called to the scene at about 5.20pm on April 19 and the road was closed for two hours while the victim was treated by paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.

The man’s next of kin have been told.
