Cyclist Seriously Injured in East Clandon

Feature Surrey police badge 3Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision between a vehicle and a cyclist in East Clandon this morning.

The incident took place in Staple Lane at around 7.45am today (Saturday, 4 October) when a black Ford Galaxy was in collision with a pedal cycle.

The cyclist, a man in his twenties, suffered serious leg, arm and abdominal injuries and was taken by air ambulance to St George’s Hospital in Tooting where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Following the collision police closed Staple Lane between the junctions with the A246 Epsom Road and Coombe Lane. The road was fully reopened at around 10.30am.
