Guildford Borough Council’s Household Support Fund offers a one-off grant of up to £300 per household who are struggling to pay for food, fuel bills and other related essentials.
The council’s community wellbeing team has been flagging it up on its social media this week.
However, according to the council’s website, the scheme only runs until September 30, or until all funds have been allocated.
Therefore, with a torrid time ahead for many, now is the time to apply. People can also apply on behalf of other households who are experiencing hardship.
The scheme allows one application per household, although the council says on its website: “We will prioritise those with higher needs. Such as households with children and pensioners.”
Or phone 01483 458055, if you need help completing the form.

And then there were seven. (See article: "Lib Dems Remain Puzzled By Leader’s Decision to Sack Executive Member")
