Did You Give Man a Lift on the A31 Hog’s Back on Saturday, January 30?

Police are appealing for help over an incident on Saturday, January 30, between 9pm and 10pm, when a young man was pushed into a car, driven to the Hog’s Back and left there.

Officers want to a man and woman who gave him a lift from the layby on the A31 going towards Farnham, back to Guildford at about 10pm.

DC Kerry Plumb said: “I’d like to make clear these people certainly aren’t in any trouble. We want them to help us understand more about the circumstances. If this was you, please get in touch.”

Officers also seek anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around Clover Road, Guildford at about 9pm the same evening.

Please contact Surrey Police if you saw a grey car, possibly a Nissan Juke or similar, and check your footage if you have a dashcam or helmet cam, or a video doorbell or CCTV, particularly between 8.50pm and 9.15pm that day.

DC Plumb added: “We don’t believe this poses any wider threat to the community but we hope people will be able to provide some vital pieces of information to assist us.”
