Did You Witness Guildford Hate Crime?

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after a woman was racially abused in Guildford on Monday, October 31 between 5.30pm and 5.45pm.

The victim was followed by a man as she walked down Walnut Tree Close towards Bridge Street. The suspect then repeatedly shouted racial abuse at her.

He is described as a man in his 30s, wearing a black jacket, hat and glasses.

A police spokesperson said: “If you witnessed the incident, or have any dashcam footage of the area at the time, please contact us quoting 45220116383 via:

“If you do not wish to leave your name, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“Hate Crime is unacceptable under any circumstances, and no one should be made to feel intimidated or threatened in our community.
