Daniel Bushell

Daniel Bushell is a law student at the University of Surrey but also a budding journalist. He wanted some work experience at The Dragon so we gave him the task of getting some of his fellow students to give their views on student life with the pandemic.

They describe how well the social distancing rules are observed and whether they are getting value for their £9,000 tuition fees…

A spokesperson for the university said: “These are extraordinary times, and we are committed to continuing to deliver an excellent and fully Covid-secure student experience. We’re proud of the immense effort staff have put in to ensure we have a Covid-secure campus, are delivering high-quality hybrid learning, and are continuing to ensure we are here to support our students in looking after their health and wellbeing.

“We’re also proud of the resilience shown by our students in the face of the immense changes Covid has forced on all aspects of life in 2020. We are pleased with progress to date, but are not complacent. We will continue to work hard and innovate to ensure that the 2020/21 academic year provides an excellent student experience.”
