Eight-man Gang Stage Violent Robbery in Stoke Park

Two victims were attacked and robbed by an eight-strong gang of men in Guildford’s Stoke Park on Wednesday (February 24) and police are appealing for witnesses.

About 7.05pm, the victims were walking through the park from London Road train station towards the Spectrum when the gang assaulted them, robbed them and calmly walked away.

Both victims suffered head injuries and one had hospital treatment. Police did not say whether they were male, female or a couple, or what was taken from them.

Investigating officer PC Mihai Kerekes said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have any more

information or could have witnessed anything suspicious in the area to come forward. Please also let us know if you were driving past and have any dashcam footage.”

    Why is no description of the attackers publicly available?

    Editor’s response: We did ask Surrey Police but they said did not have descriptions of the attackers.
