Guildford-based computer software firm Semafone raised £553.77 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) when it took part in the charity’s Ramp up the red campaign on February 7.
Pictured here is Semafone’s CEO Tim Critchley presenting a cheque to BHF fundraisers from its Guildford and Godalming branch.
At its head office in Walnut Tree Close, Semafone’s staff brought items with a red colour scheme, which were then auctioned. Those with children were also given the opportunity to bring their children’s artwork and pictures. These were put on display for a gallery fee of £1.
There was also a sponsored table football match and a treasure hunt that took place in Guildford town centre.
Staff also wore red clothes, make-up, wigs and even onesies on the day. For everyone who wore an outfit, Semafone made a donation, plus there was a prize for the best outfit.
Samefone makes software for contact centres, so they can take credit and debit card payments over the phone without the customer having to disclose any of their personal card details to the agent. Card information is sent directly to the bank, making telephone transactions safe and secure. The firm was founded in 2009.
